SIGOURNEY
Sigourney are a Wollongong-based heavy band built on grit, honesty, and volume. Formed through skateboarding, shared friends, and a mutual love of loud, riff-driven music, the duo channel sludgy heaviness with an increasingly emotive edge. What began as a mission to be as noisy as possible has evolved into something more deliberate — songs shaped by feeling as much as force.
Drawing influence from abrasive, genre-blurring artists like Show Me the Body, alongside the raw weight of stoner and sludge rock, Sigourney balance feedback, distortion, and intensity with thoughtful songwriting. The result is music that hits hard but stays human — confronting without being hollow.
Known for their energetic, immersive live shows, Sigourney focus less on performance and more on creating a shared space. Their sets are passionate, loose, and unapologetically authentic, inviting audiences to step into the feeling rather than stand back and watch.
With recording plans locked in for 2026 and ambitions to take their sound beyond the Illawarra — including Melbourne and further afield — Sigourney are carving out their next chapter on their own terms: loud, honest, and unfiltered.
